It's rather commonplace to hear the terms coaching and counseling being used in general conversation as interchangeable terms. Quite frankly, there was a point, some time back, when I was completely guilty of the same. Ten minutes into my very first life coaching certification class - and it was evident that I had been very much mistaken for treating them as though they were the same. Following are some of the differences between the two. First, when it comes to life coaching, generally there is no one singular looming problem or issue that needs to be 'fixed' or overcome. Typically there are no overwhelming conditions that necessitate the clients seek help. In fact, many of the New Destiny Life Coaching Clients who have ultimately realized optimal results… commenced their life-changing journeys with no particular ailment or trouble about which they were concerned. Instead, the more common objective for life coaching is simply to discover how to create a truly happier and considerably more fulfilling life.

As a result, another difference is… Generally life coaching takes a more comprehensive view encompassing all the areas and opportunities clients have to maximize their lives. In other words, the ultimate objective of life coaching is to maximize the client's true happiness and fulfillment in each and every area of his or her life. (It should be noted however, there is a myriad of specialty coaching offerings for a more narrow concentration and enhancement on a wide range of topics. Coaches can range from financial to holistic… from professional to spiritual. There are relationship coaches. There are even book coaches.
